My story
My path to founding Ocean State Drone Company has been anything but ordinary.
For 13 years, I served in the Rhode Island National Guard, flying both helicopters and airplanes. Aviation taught me far more than how to fly. It taught me the importance of preparation, precision, and making good decisions when every detail matters. Those experiences eventually led me to become an instructor pilot, where I had the opportunity to train and mentor other aviators.
When my military career came to a close, I found a new challenge in software engineering. For the past decade, I’ve built software that reaches millions of users, combining technical problem-solving with thoughtful design.
Even with a rewarding career in technology, I found myself missing aviation. I missed the planning, the perspective, and the feeling of seeing the world from above. Drones gave me a way to reconnect with that passion while helping local businesses showcase their properties and tell their stories from a perspective few people ever get to see.
Ocean State Drone Company brings together everything I’ve learned throughout my career. It combines the discipline and safety of professional aviation with the attention to detail and problem-solving mindset I’ve developed as an engineer. Every project is approached with careful planning, precise execution, and a commitment to delivering work that I’m proud to put my name on.
Whether I’m photographing a luxury waterfront home, documenting a construction project, or helping a local business tell its story, my goal is always the same: create imagery that helps people see something they simply couldn’t from the ground.
